Holiday Destination Ideas for International Fun in the Sun

Last week, I gave some destination ideas in the USA if you are considering a vacation over the Christmas and New Year holidays. These ideas still might break the bank but at least you might be going somewhere different than some other people. Sydney, Australia – Most trips to Australia will probably start in Sydney which is the country’s largest city and it is known as “The Harbour City” due to it being mainly built around Sydney Harbour. It has been recognized as one of the world’s most beautiful metropolises. One of the best reasons for visiting during the holidays? In Australia, it is summer weather when all of us on the Northern Hemisphere have weather that is a bit more frightful. Why not visit Sydney for a bit more delightful weather instead?
Bali, Indonesia – Maybe you are looking for a “White Christmas” with pristine, white, sandy beaches? Bali is small but it has so much to offer the visitor with its many excellent beaches, rice terraces, enchanting temples and quaint villages. With its wonderful beaches, amazing countryside, and friendly people, Bali will charm you during your stay at premiere beach resorts across the island.
New Zealand – Again, traveling to the Southern Hemisphere during the holidays will grant you summer time weather in New Zealand. There is so much that this country has to offer like breathtaking landscapes of stunning natural beauty which include majestic and dramatic fjords, spectacular glaciers, rugged mountains, vast plains and farmland, long coastlines, wonderful sandy beaches and active geothermal regions plus so much more. The country also has history, culture and, not least, winelands producing excellent wines.
Belize – Belize is a relatively small country located on the north east coast of Central America. It is known for its diverse eco-systems which translates into amazing coral reefs, abundant wildlife and exotic marine life to be enjoyed on a Belize vacation. The country basically consists of coastline and savannah type jungle. Make sure to include both areas in your Belize holiday vacation!
Costa Rica – In Costa Rica, it’s perfectly natural to keep your head in a cloud forest one day and your feet planted firmly on warm, sandy beaches the next. This rugged Central American country, situated between Panama to the south and Nicaragua to the north, offers vacationers a perfect blend of culture and natural wonders. From the pounding surf of the Pacific to the west, to the lush mangroves and tropical lowlands of the Caribbean to the east, Costa Rica offers a natural wonderland ripe for exploration. If this destination sounds too adventurous for you, we highly recommend a small group tour instead.
Maldives & Dubai – The Maldives is designed strictly for those who want to get away from it all, lie on some fabulous beaches, snorkel, dive, sail, fish and not have to worry about anything. If you're going all that way to relax, it seems foolish to rush things by staying less than a week. Also, a bonus of traveling to the Maldives is that it makes for a perfect stopover in Dubai if you fly on Emirates.
