Family of 5 in Cancun

Sometimes I get a travel request that really is challenging ... in a good way! I like a good challenge especially when combined with trying to find as many things on my clients wishlist AND within their desired travel budget.

It is tough to get everything some clients want because of their budget. Either they increase their budget or they compromise on what they want. I had a client a few years ago that ended up almost doubling their budget to get what they wanted. I just never know what the client will ultimately do so I almost always throw in an option that gives my clients everything they asked for, regardless of the budget they told me. I am upfront about this during our initial free Clarity Session.

The trip request that I got a few weeks ago was definitely a challenge and I was excited to see what I could find. I won't go into all the details but there was a reason why they sought out the help of a travel agent. It is not easy to find accommodations for a family of 5 at an all-inclusive resort and this family had specific sleeping requirements as well. They had other wishes as well so it was a lot to take on. This is not the first time I have worked on a trip like this!

Also, they ended up throwing me a curve ball in the middle by seeing if we could get grandma to tag along. Some of the accommodations we found for their family of 5 would no longer accommodate a 6th person. That meant going back to the drawing board and looking at different resorts that offered 1- and 2-bedroom options. I used all my resources to contact the resorts, get room layouts and descriptions clarified plus I spoke with my sales managers to help me get connected to all the right people. I even used my network of fellow travel agents to get first hand feedback on the top two resorts. THIS is why my clients pay me to do the research and find the best options for them.
